Contributing Journalists


Kayley Mount is a senior at Columbia High School. She will be attending the University of Tampa to study psychology in the fall. She enjoys being at the beach, eating “drunken grandma” pizza, and watching New Girl. This summer she will be working as a camp counselor at Orange Lawn Tennis Club. When she first learned to talk, she thought it was acceptable to call everyone “baby”, and would frequently call out from her stroller, “hey, baby!” to strangers passing by.




Evan Schwartzberg is a senior. His fears include heights, birds, dead things, exacto-knives, Astroboy, sharp things near his eyes, and big winds. As a child, he brought magnetic letters everywhere because he was a book nerd who didn’t have friends. 




Grace Hut is a senior at Columbia High School and will be heading to the west coast to attend Occidental College in the fall. She enjoys playing soccer, doing paint by numbers, exploring the new cities, and appreciating the miracle that is nature. In fact, when she was 5 years old, she professed her love to mud and vowed to marry it!


Ella Thibodeau is a senior at Columbia High School. She will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design to study industrial design in the fall. She enjoys going on bike rides, watching Gilmore Girls and spending time getting food and/or coffee with friends. This summer she is working at the Maplewood Tennis Club. When she was younger she called beer “Daddy’s Coffee."


Benjamin Krueger is a senior at Columbia High School. He will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design to study Film & Television and Photography in the fall. He enjoys eating banana bread, making short films with his friends, and taking pictures in New York City. As a child, Ben acted in the pilot of a one season comedy show starring puppets, ‘The Wonder Showzen’, airing on MTV and going viral on Vine years later.
